At a special meeting tonight members of the oneonta common council met to discuss the matter.
At issue whether to keep the available positn aa cie title to a city administrator,we direction the council is headed.
At tonight's meeting mayor gary herzig pointed outthr uses the title of city manager, the job description is really that of a city administrator.
Still,there are some in the current administration that think the city is running fine without filling the position.
"this is the council's prerogative.
The council n just change the word maneto admt the charter and everything stays the same as it is now.
Or the council can take some time to rethink some of those responsibilities and make some changes."
In the end the council decided to hold off making any decisions until they could further review the situation.
They will meet again next monday.
