Tropical Storm Julia Emerges Into Pacific

After making a hurricane landfall in Nicaragua early yesterday morning, Julia is now sauntering into the Eastern Pacific and is along the coast of El Salvador.

The storm is weakening and is expected to die off near the coast of eastern Mexico within the next two days.

Julia's large size is still producing a lot of rainfall over parts of Honduras and over the Yucatan Peninsula, as well as along the Pacific coast.

Further rainfall totals of up to 250mm are expected.
