Has greene greene county has seen a rise in cases as well.

Health officials from the area say the county could move to "orange" in the state's ranking.

It's the next to worst.

News 10's bri shackelford explains what's happening there.

//////// greene county has seen a spike in positive covid-19 numbers.

The county recorded 66 positive cases over the last seven days.

That's the highest amount they've seen since the beginning of the pandemic.

Health officials in the area believe the rising cases are coming from small get-togethers.

They tell me ..

They have not found a single big event for connected cases.

But...health officials are saying that people are becoming more relaxed as time so goes on.

Health officials say when people are indoors...they are not following the reccomended protocols... and even if they're sick...they may not think they have covid-19.
