44Blitz SIAC Highlights Week 8

The knights come marching in as the 8th ranked team in the 5a class..

While central is second in 3a.

On the bears opening drive..

They are facing a 3rd and long..

Javonte madison rumbles forward for a 1st down.

The bears were able to milk an impressive 8 minutes of game clock on the first drive of the game..

It's capped off with a tory evans touchdown..

Central strikes first.

After a quick castle three and out..

The bears are facing a 4th and 2..

They elect to go to the air as blake herdes finds camdyn counts..

A huge 31 yard pick up moves the chains for central..

And they continued to make big plays down the stretch.

Facing a 3rd and 9..

Herdes calls his own number..

He has plenty of time and picks up 13 more yards..

Central entering the red zone.

The theme tonight from central was big time runs..

This one goes to the big full back madison..

Tipping the scales at 250 pounds..

You are not going to stop that freight train..

Central up 14 - 0.

Again..

The bears controlling the clock as castle needs an answer..

Mason ailstock has one..

Picking one off and heading down field..

He picks up some valuable yardage..

However the drive stalls and they settle for a field goal..

Jackson mitchell is able to convert..

But those are the only points the knights would get.

Centrals defense stepping up and shutting things down..

The bears remain undefeated..

Central wins it 14-3.

Both jasper and north are trying to get back in the win column..

The huskies come in ranked 10th in 5a..

While the wildcats are 9th in 3a.

Second quarter..

Jasper in possession..

Blake mann keeps it himself and takes it to his left before taking it back to the right and down the sideline and finally getting taken down.

Wildcats in business.

Shortly after..

Jasper finishes the drive.

Mann hands it off to lance dawkins for the touchdown.

The visitors strike first.

To the fourth..

Mann continues his strong game.... side stepping the defense... and losing his helmet.

That results in a penalty against north.

On the next play..

Jasper cashes in..

Mann not shaken as he takes it down the sideline and in for the touchdown.

Wildcats lead 15-9.

Back comes north..

Ethan brawdy hands it off to capleton presswood... the senior making some magic happen on the 32 yard run.

Huskies with an opportunity and they take advantage.

Brawdy with the toss to presswood who finds paydirt.

North back in front 16-15..

But jasper is not leaving.

Mann with the handoff to luke dawkins... he is gone and not coming back.

The wildcats win a wild one 23-16.

Memorial has bounced back from their 0 - 3 start..

The tigers have won 4 straight..

And are looking for their 5th in a row as they travel to vincennes.

Lincoln on offense..

But the ball is fumbled... and alex money makes them pay..

Making the tackle as he brings the ball carrier down at the one.

Two plays later nolan knight takes it in for a score... and number 42 gives them a 42-0 lead.

Next mater dei possession..

The wildcats feed it to connor wiley who runs it down the sideline for a huge gain all the way down to the fifteen!

And shortly after..

They hand it over to mitchell adler for a two yard score and the wildcats add to their lead.

Mater dei wins 49-15.

The wildcats have won 3 in a row.

Moving over to enlow field..

Bosse is still in search for their first win of the season..

The bulldogs hosting reitz.

On the panthers opening drive..

The hand it off to jonas burnett..

He heads to the far sideline..

Going in untouched..

Reitz goes up 7 - 0.

On their next drive..

They stick to the ground game.

This time jay smith gets the honors..

Breaking tackles and ankles on his way for a first down and more..

The panther with a burst of speed before he is finally taken down at the 9.

A few plays later..

They go back to burnett..

He finds the endzone for the second time.

Reitz up 14 - 0..

And they never looked back.
