EVSC Prepares for Students to Return in August

EVSC students are now set to return to class on Aug 19.

Vanderburgh school corporation -- gearing up for the first day of school -- now set for august*19th.

On tuesday -- superintendent dr. david smith sharing*a more detailed set of guidelines with parents.

Some of the health requirements are even more stringent than what's outlined by the state department of health.

The e-v-s-c asking all parents to check their kids' temperature before sending them off to school.

We've always utilized the standard of 100 degrees.

So that's what we're going to ask our parents to abide by.

It's not 100.4--it's 100.0 for our purposes."

Doctor smith says he feels -- it's critical students at least start the school year in- person to set the ground- work.... but he adds*all options are still on the table.
