Now onto the coronavirus.

The state department of health's updated numbers didn't update their numbers today due to technical issues on their end.

Currently, the state department of health confirmed nearly 18 thousand cases, and over 830 deaths.

Nearly 500 of those cases and 20 of those deaths were confirmed just yesterday.

There is some good news though.

The mississippi department of health reported 13 thousand three hundred and fifty six people that are believed to have recovered from the coronavirus in mississippi... alabama, like mississippi, and with more cases on the rise, and folks going out in the streets to protest, the cdc is recommending that more and more people get tested for the coronavirus.

The state department of health sponsored a free test here in starkville today where at least 120 people were signed up to be tested.

The city hosted a protest rally over the weekend, and anyone who attended was encouraged to get tested for the coronavirus.

Major jason odom says anyone who was tested today will receive their testing results in five to seven days.
