Selfless pensioner uses her savings to buy food donations for others struggling with pandemic

A selfless pensioner is using her Covid-19 financial aid to buy supplies for the community pantry.

The elderly woman, named Khun Ad, was seen visiting the food bank in front of the police station in Ang Thong, central Thailand on Wednesday (May 14) afternoon.

She came with a handful of food and assorted supplies which she laid on the floor before sitting down to sort it.

Footage shows the generous elderly sorting the goods she prepared to share to anyone who might need it.

A curious police officer asked what she was doing and found that the woman wanted to share the money she received the 5,000 baht (128GBP) coronavirus handout she received from the government to those who have not received monetary aid.

She said: "I have just received the monetary aid from the government and I estimated that the amount is more than my need so I decided to share them.

"I don't have plenty of money but there are other locals who need it more than me.

They have not received their money aid yet so I thought of sharing."
