Manipur firing incident: Situation tense in Lilong Chingjao, toll rises to 4

The situation in minority-dominated Lilong Chingjao area in Manipur's Thoubal district remained tense after four villagers were gunned down. Additional security forces were deployed and an inter-faith meeting was held to defuse the situation. Curfew was imposed in five districts of Imphal Valley. The bodies of the deceased were brought to Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences. The Chief Minister condemned the violence and assured that the culprits will be arrested.
