In this video I go over an introduction to mainstream biology by first taking a look a general overview, definition, and history.

Biology, from the Greek words Bios + Logy = Life + Study, is the of study the life and encompasses a broad scope of topics and fields.

Starting from atoms, which form molecules, and then macromolecules, which combine to form the building blocks of live: cells.

Cells combine to form tissues, the organs, then organ systems, until a living organism is formed.

The works of Jean-Baptiste Lamarck and Charles Darwin paved the way for mainstream evolutionary thinking and natural selection.

In more recent times, technological advancements have allowed the discovery and sequencing of DNA, which are claimed to be the trait-carrying information units for all of life.

Finally the Human Genome Project has mapped out much of the Human Genome, which mainstream science is currently looking to tinker in more and more invasive ways...
