Why did Jesus speak in parables?
We are taught that parables are simple stories used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson.
But Jesus says that He spoke in parables so that the Scribes & Pharisees wouldn't understand.
That seems contrary to the normal definition of a parable.
How does the statement from Jesus impact how we interpret these parables?
