Indian tunnel workers close to rescue - authorities

Bhaskar Kulbe, an officer on special duty to deal with the tunnel collapse said on Thursday (November 23) that 41 men trapped in a highway tunnel in India were close to being rescued, after removing a lattice steel girder arch that slowed progress overnight.

Arnold Dix, president of the International Tunnelling And Underground Space Association was positive about getting the workers out.
