Several thousand South Korean and U.S. troops took part in joint live-fire exercises on Thursday, marking the 70th anniversary of the alliance between the countries and the 75th anniversary of the founding of the South Korean military.

The drills, overseen by South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, were supported by "cutting-edge" military assets, including South Korean F-35 fighters, K9 self-propelled howitzers, U.S. F-16 jets, and Gray Eagle drones.
