Forest fires in three regions of Russia have killed at least one person, amid a heatwave in the country linked to climate change.

Images released by the Ministry of Emergency Situations show Vadim Shumkov, governor of Kurgan Oblast and Alexander Kurenkov, head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations flying over large areas of Russian forest damaged by the fires.
