Conservative Party Chair Nadhim Zahawi kept his distance from reporters on Monday as they quizzed him over a tax dispute that took place when he was chancellor.
Mr Zahawi has resisted calls to stand down from government, though the prime minister has ordered an independent investigation into the row.
