The co-showrunners of 1899, a Netflix series, Jantje Friese and Baran bo Odar, announced that Netflix has cancelled the series' upcoming seasons, which premiered on November 17, 2022.
After its initial release, the series remained in Netflix's global Top 10 for a full month.
It was able to accomplish this by amassing tens of millions of hours of viewing time.
However, the figures shared by Netflix for the shows make the Top 10 list totals.
Netflix tells us how many people overall watched a show, but they don’t tell how many people actually made it all the way through a series versus the ones who sampled it, decided they didn't like it, and quickly moved on.
