Autumn Statement: Hunt names fiscal priorities

Chancellor Jeremy Hunt has named stability, growth and public services as his fiscal priorities as he laid out his Autumn Statement in the House of Commons.

He told MPs on Thursday: "Yes, we take difficult decisions to tackle inflation and keep mortgage rates down, but our plan also leads to a shallower downturn, lower energy bills, higher growth and a stronger NHS and education system." Report by Buseld.
