Who Will Become The Special Masters For Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Investigation?

A duel between the Justice Department and former President Trump’s lawyers commenced over who should be appointed to sort through the government documents the FBI seized from Mar-a-Lago.

The Justice Department proposed two federal judges for the role of a special master, including one nominated by former President George W.

Bush.

Trump’s team candidates were a Reagan nominee and a former Florida Deputy Attorney General.

The arguing believes the review should only include all documents seized by the FBI, while the Justice Department insists it only covers unclassified documents.

The special master will decide whether any of the seized documents are privileged and must be excluded from the investigation.
