Environment Secretary George Eustice says the government will "pull together" and "focus on the big issues that matter", saying "things can look very different in a year or 18 months time".
This comes after a torrid few days for the prime minister, after a pair of by-election defeats and a cabinet resignation renewed questions about his leadership.
