The award-winning veteran actor had been cast as the lead role in the Netflix limited series 'The Fall of the House of Usher.'.
Langella, 84, had been under a company investigation after alleged sexual misconduct on set.
'TMZ' reports that the actor allegedly made inappropriate jokes during a rehearsal... ... and touched a unnamed woman's leg, one of the co-stars of the series.
He reportedly joked after the incident, asking the woman, "Did you like that?".
The show also stars Carla Gugino.

Langella had been cast to play lead character Roderick Usher.
The series is based upon the work of Edgar Allan Poe.
A popular film version of the short story was produced during the 1950s and starred Vincent Price.

The role of Roderick Usher will be recast with another actor.
And the scenes already filmed with Langella will be reshot.
Langella's career spans several decades.
