On a visit to a petrol station in South London on Wednesday, it appeared Rishi Sunak had a mix-up at the till.
A self-confessed 'coke addict', the chancellor had picked up a can of coca cola on his way to pay.
But when the cashier tried to scan the can, Sunak instead raised his bank card to be scanned through the plastic screen - not realising the scanner was not a card machine.
