The terrifying video, filmed in the city of Dazhou in Sichuan Province on June 28, shows the boy being swept off his feet when he was playing in the water with his family.
The scared adults were heard shouting for help as the boy was washed downstream.
Finally, the boy got stranded at the shallow part of the river and the filmer Ms Li Qian’s friend approached the boy to rescue him.
Fortunately, the boy was rescued and he was not injured seriously.
