Mamata Banerjee discharged from hospital, doctor says recovery 'satisfactory'

Mamata Banerjee was discharged from hospital two days after she had suffered injuries.

The Bengal CM was admitted to state-run SSKM Hospital in Kolkata with severe bone injuries.

Mamata was discharged on Friday evening after doctors found her recovery 'satisfactory’.

Doctors took the decision after the TMC supremo repeatedly requested them to discharge her.

The 66-year-old CM will, however, have to return to hospital within a week for check-up.

Seated on a wheelchair with foot plastered, Mamata came out of the hospital's Woodburn block.

Mamata was helped by Abhishek Banerjee and Firhad Hakim to get into her car's front seat.

The CM went straight to her Kalighat house with heavy police deployment along the route.

Mamata fell and suffered injuries after she was allegedly pushed by 4-5 unidentified people.

Incident happened on Wednesday evening during her campaigning in Nandigram.
