Artist Makes Couch Filled With Discarded Single-Use Covid-19 Face Masks

An artist has made a couch filled with discarded single-use face masks.

Tobia Zambotti collected coronavirus protection people dropped in the street.

He says his "Couch-19" project aims to highlight the environmental impact of millions of pieces of PPE wear being thrown away.

The irregular seat is designed to reference the shape of an iceberg: one of the most iconic symbols of global warming.

The masks were thoroughly disinfected before becoming the unusual stuffing.
