‘Cost-effective, pollution-free’: Gadkari launches India's first CNG tractor

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari launched country's first-ever diesel tractor converted to CNG.

It has been jointly developed by Rawmatt Techno Solutions and Tomasetto Achille India.

This tractor is expected to help farmers save at least Rs 1 lakh annually.

The diesel-converted CNG tractor is said to be pollution-free as well as economical.

“A farmer spends around Rs 3.5 lakh for transportation every year.

For farming, farmers spend around Rs 2.5 lakh to purchase diesel.

With this tractor, farmers will save around 55% of the amount spent now.

This tractor is cost-effective as well as pollution-free,” Gadkari said.

Union ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Parshottam Rupala and General (Retd) Dr V K Singh were also present at launch.
