Wish and Halo broke the record with their trainer Emily Larlham in El Cajon, California.
Emily trained Wish and Halo, two border collies, separately using positive reinforcement.
The steps were broken up into small steps so the dogs were highly successful at learning the behaviours.
If the dogs created incorrect responses, Emily would find a way to break the steps up in a way that the dogs could be successful.
The first time Emily asked for the tricks to be performed by both dogs, she made the criteria easier so that working with another dog meant getting more treats than working alone.
She then added speed to the behaviours using toys so that the dogs could perform more tricks in a shorter time period.
Both border collies are highly intelligent, healthy and athletic so they found this attempt exhilarating.
