Kevin Hart Reportedly Defrauded by Personal Shopper for Over $1 Million.

‘TMZ’ reports that Hart’s personal shopper, Dylan Syer, has been arrested and accused of stealing over $1.2 million from the comedian.

.

In a press release announcing Syer’s indictment, Queens County District Attorney Melinda Katz said Syer’s scam dated back to 2015 when he began working for Hart.

Syer spent years building up Hart’s trust with authorized purchases before putting his million-dollar scam into motion in October 2017.

.

For the next 19 months, Syer used Hart’s credit card to purchase extravagant items, including fine art, collectibles and five Patek Phillipe watches valued at more than $400,000.

.

The defendant thought he was beyond reach and was living out his uber-rich lifestyle fantasies.

But my team uncovered the bogus purchases, DA Melinda Katz, via statement .

Syer has been charged with first and second-degree grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

.

He’s also been charged with identity theft in the first degree and scheme to defraud in the first degree.

Syer is scheduled to appear in court on February 17 and faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted.

.

This should serve as a cautionary tale for everyone.

Regardless of whether you are a celebrity or not, anyone can fall victim to this kind of fraud.

It is paramount to keep track of your expenses, check your credit reports and diligently keep your financial information to yourself, DA Melinda Katz, via statement
