Dogs which smell Covid: Indian Army trains canines to detect infection

The Indian Army has trained some dogs to detect Covid-19 infection by smelling sweat or urine samples.

So far, some labradors, indigenous chippiparai, and cocker spaniels have been trained.

Army's Colonel Surender Saini said that as per data collected so far, the dogs' ability to detect Covid is over 95%.

The dogs have been deployed in Delhi and Chandigarh so far.
