First tonight: a byron senior living community is asking residents to roll up their sleeves and take the covid?

Kimt news three's anthony monzon joins us live from the benedictine living community in byron with the message being sent to seniors this evening.

Well katie and george... the message is clear... staff want residents across all benedictine senior living locations to get vaccinated... including those living at this community center.

Like many senior living facilities across the country... benedictine has been working to protect its vulnerable residents from covid 19... and now they're seeking to assure them these vaccines are safe to take.

And that effort continued today with a q&a session with medical leaders within the organization.

They set out to help residents feel good about taking these vaccines... and dispell misinformation that may be circulating about them.

These leaders also shared how many people they believe will need to get vaccinated across their locations in order to really improve the safety of their "if we can achieve somewhere probably between 70 and 80 percent of both residents and staff getting vaccinated, i think we're much further along on our way of not having further outbreaks happen in our buildings."

And during this q&a some of the most common questions asked were when residents would be vaccinated... and when visitation restrictions might be lifted.

Unfortunately staff were not able to provide much detail on either front because of the multitude of external factors affecting these processees.
