Some locals love it, others hate it, but everyone in Central New York has to clean it up today.

Are still cleaning up the mess from the overnight storm.

The governor declared a state of emergency in 18 counties, including otsego... which saw some of the heaviest snowfall.

Meteorologist violet scibior is in cooperstown with reactions from some locals.

Standup: .

None "predicting a nor'easter can be very difficult, especially since there's a sharp cut off in who gets a lot of snow and who doesn't.

And the forecast definitely changes very quickly.

Vo: while the north country only got a couple of inches of snow, the southern valleys got a couple of feet of snow last night.

Sot: "i woke up this morning and i was like wow.

We're not going to work today."

Sot: "i was remarking to my wife how this is like a really deep snow for one of the initial snows."

Vo: some are happy to see the snow... sot: "it's awesome.

I grew up here and my kids, i don't know if they've seen this much snow before.

They were pretty excited when they woke up this morning.

It was a good day."

Sot: "i live in upstate new york.

Of course i like snow."

Sot "i think it's great.

I love snow and it just blankets everything and brings joy for kids going outside playing in the snow.

And it's been wonderful."

Vo: others not so much... sot "i like it, but it's too much at once."

Sot "i used to like it when we were skiing, the whole family was skiing and we used to look forward to it.

But now it's a little bit of a different story.

A different chapter of my life, which means it's work."

Vo: whether you like snow or not, you still have to clear out your driveway...sot: e been out here now for maybe fifteen minutes.

But i'm not nearly done."

Sot: "it'll be a while.

I'm doing it in little like half hour chunks."

Standup: "the good news is that if you are cleaning up your driveway or your sidewalks right now, you won't have to shovel more later.

As the snow does come to an end today.
