Covid relief bill

Rep. Chuck Fleischmann updates us on the Covid relief bill in Washington.

All eyes are on capitol hill to pass a covid-19 relief bill.

The white house made some changes to the bipartisan plan last night.

The president's version guts the $300 dollars a week, in favor of direct payments of $600 dollars per person, and $12-hundred per couple.

The price tag was also slightly higher, sitting at $916 billion.

I've traveled back and forth to washington each week.

I can actually see this on the front lines.

Obviously aid to states and cities very important so there's more common ground than not.

Fleischmann also urged fellow lawmakers to act soon, before benefits for thousands of americans expire at the end of the year.
