More lawsuits over Governor Andy Beshear's new coronavirus restrictions.

Scott county family and others are suing the governor over his recommendation limiting indoor gatherings to no more than eight people from two different households to stop the spread of covid-19.

Austin and sara everson have seven children.

The suit says the governor has criminalized their daily family dinner and other in-home activities.

Governor beshear was asked about the lawsuit during his coronavirus briefing.

"it's ridiculous.

Nobody is saying that a family of eight can't continue to live together and eat together.

What we are saying is, if one family wants to have another family over, it's only two households, two groups that live under the same roof and eight total in that group.

The lawsuit is also on behalf of more religious schools suing the governor over his ban on in- person classroom instruction.

Central baptist academy in rockcastle county and cornerstone christian in laurel county are among the more than a half dozen schools suing.

This is separate from a similar lawsuit filed on behalf of 17 other private schools over the same issue.

Like that initial suit...this new one asks for a temporary restraining order stopping the governor's orders.

No ruling dates have been set for either suit.
