Pontotoc junior high principal phil webb says students are now going to class online until after the thanksgiving holiday.

Students will use a comination of live online classes, paper packets, and downloaded files to comlete course work.

For most students, internet is not a problem, however he says for students that do not have internet access there are other options.

"parking lots and many of the churches are opening those up but there are some of those that are not going to have any of that so we want to makes sure they have every opportunity to make sure they get their class work down."

And he says he also gave out mobile hotspot to some students.

As of right now he says students will return to in person classes with three weeks left in the semester.

However, with cases are continuing to rise in the county he says that could also change.

"of course things can change it changed quickly for us last week we'll just obviously do what we do and monitor and adjust."

At this time the high school and elementary schools will continue classes as normal.
