Association moving forward with season despite Governor putting it on hold

Back... the illinois welcome back... welcome back... the illinois high school association made a decision today that shocked many... they went against governor j-b pritzker and the illinois department of public health and announced they're moving forward with the high school boys and girls basketball season... on tuesday the governor and i-d-p-h put the basketball season on hold due to covid-19.... with today's i-h-s-a decision that means practices start november 16th and games will tip off november 30th... masks have to worn at all times by coaches, refs and players even during competition... the decision to play is now up to each school district, they have to consider what it'll mean for school funding but as you might guess players and coaches just want a chance to play...
