Country Legend J.T. Corenflos dies at 56

As we told you.... country music icon... "j-t corenflos " died at 56-years-old.
This morning... the terre haute native is being remembered by the world.... and some in the wabash valley.
News 10's richard solomon spoke with life-long friends of corenflos.
He has more on how he influenced musicians all around.
Jt corenflos solidified himself as a country legend.
The terre haute native had an impact on many.
But some i spoke with says they'll always remember how the icon helped others.

"nats" the country music icon teaching marc and barbie roger's son a thing or two.
"he was just a sweet soul and just one of those people you just fell in love with first time you were ever around him" marc rogers says the two met in terre haute in the 19-80's.
Rogers...who already had a name for himself lived in nashville.
"i introduced him to everybody i knew and sure enough the next week he actually made his debut on the grand opera with jean shephard " and he never looked back.
Corenflos would go on to have nearly 75 #1 top hits on the billboard country music list.
Barbie rogers says his music had a unique sound.
"when you heard his song we were always like well that's got to be jt and we'd look it up and of course it was.
So itw as very distinctive and i think most of that came from his soul."
Corenflos died on saturday after a long battle with lung cancer.
The country music world feeling pain and sorrow.
Artists like luke bryan...and ronnie duncan posting their final goodbyes to their friend.
But with all his fame...he never forget about where he came from... where he started.
"he was so loved by people and that's something when someone has that kind of success and you see that that's the whole package that's what made him so special" corenflos died at the vanderbilt university hospital..in nashville.
The family is still sorting out funeral arrangements.
