Man Arrested at Four Freedoms Monument for Strangulation

40-year-old Bruce Wayne Renshaw was arrested after a victim and witness told police he attempted to strangle his friend after walking his dog.

Evansville police called to the four freedoms monument around 10:30 saturday night - when things turned violent.... according to court records - 40-year-old bruce wayne renshaw and his friend were walking their dog.... a witness says - the man pinned a woman against their suv choking her.... that witness told police - she ran toward renshaw with mace - trying to stop the assault.... officers say - renshaw ripped the victims necklace off her neck.... according to the woman - the pair are only friends.... officers found meth in the renshaw's wallet.... renshaw was booked in the vanderburgh county jail without bond - for strangulation and other charges....
