United Way creates 'pie-in-the-face' challenge fundraiser

Today, valley oaks employees got a taste.
The money will benefit united way, which works to help fund non-profit needs.
People can make a donation then challenge friends and family to match every dollar.
Once the money is matched, the person who donated first will have to pie themselves in the face.
Valley oaks director of addictions services is happy to participate.
He says united way has greatly helped support valley oaks through the years.
We've increased our senses five times just over the past year, year and a half so that's how many people are getting touched by what united way does.
More non-profits are expected to take on the challenge within the coming weeks.
United way is encouraging the community to participate as well by using the hashtag "united way greater lafayette."
