The disease can impact anyone..

And for this survivor it took ahold of her life at a young age..

But she used it for good.

"leigh hurst" learned about her breast cancer after years of concerns with a lump.

After friends convinced her to get a "mammogram"..

She quickly learned the bad news.

But after recovering from the stage 1 cancer..

She was inspired to help others.

She stepped out of the corporate world to help other young women learn about the disease..

And share her story.

Now..

She says it's changed her life in a way she never imagined.

"i never thought that i'd be able to do something like that and it's just such a treat and an honor to have that be apart of my life and i can't imagine my life now so breast cancer really afforded me that.
