Coronavirus in kentucky..governor beshear warning of another record breaking week.

There were 1,002 new cases saturday... bringing the total to to more than 79- thousand cases.

There were also seven new deaths.

The total number of deaths in the state since the start of the pandemic is now at 1,249 and the governor reports the state's positivity rate is at 4-point-one-six percent.

In lexington... its the third time in three weeks the daily case count has been more than 100 covid-19 cases.

Coronavir ... the lexington- fayette county health department reported 126 new covid-19 cases.

That puts the current total for fayette county at 9,279 cases.

The health department says there was one new deaths.

That means the number of people in the county who have died from the coronavirus at 81.

According to the health department... 8,106 people have recovered from the virus.
