/////// good afternoon to you.

News 10's..

"dominic miranda"..

Is live..

With what we've learned "today".

/////// //////// managers and owners at these restaurants say ..

The burglaries created an even more difficult situation... that's as they also struggle with the impacts of the pandemic.

Today ..

The parke county sheriff's office announced "devon elkins" is facing charges.

He's 19-years-old, and from terre haute.

Officers arrested him ..

And a male juvenile early this morning after a report of shots fired.

Deputites determined that they had also stolen a large amount of guns from vigo county.

They were also able to get a confession that tied these gentlemen to about "20" burglaries.

They happened in "parke" ..

"vermillion" ..

"fountain" ..

And "vigo" counties, as well as two counties in illinois.

We've been following some of these break-ins for a few weeks.

Business owners have told us ..

Someone smashed through doors or windows ..

And stole their cash registers.

I spoke with parke county sheriff justin cole today.

He says hopefully this arrest will provide some releif to business owners across the wabash valley it's a bad time already anyway for businesses, let alone now you have someone going around doing this.

Hopefully they'll be able to get some restitution and hopefully some of the other business owners will rest a little bit easier knowing that this will put a stop to it."

The parke county sheriff says ..

The two will likely face charges in other counties as the investigation continues.

I'll have more on the details of this story coming up for you at 6.
