Homes evacuated near Torrey Pines and Alexander Road because of possible explosive

Las Vegas police say they responded shots fired report at a home on Cobble Creek Court near Torrey Pines and Alexander Road around 4:30 a.m.

Tuesday.

Upon arrival they were told someone tried to steal a car and shots were fired.

However, the story changed and became more convoluted.

While investigating the situation, they saw a device or item that looked like it might be an explosive.

POLICE RESPONDED TO SHOTS....BEING FIRED....NEAR TORRREY PINES ANDALEXANDER....AT 4:30.... IN THE MORNING.OFFICERS WERE TOLD.....SOMEONE WAS TRYING...TO STEAL A CAR...AND...SOMEONE SHOT AT THEM....SCARING THEM OFF.THAT'S WHEN OFFICERSSAY....THEY SAW A DEVICE.....THAT LOOKED LIKE.....IT COULD EXPLODE.NO WORD....FROM POLICE....ON HOW IT ENDED...BUT...THEY SAY....NO ONE WAS HURT."
