Watch: 10-ft-long python on Mumbai highway causes traffic jam, rescued

A 10-feet-long python was seen slithering across Mumbai’s Eastern Express Highway.

The python caused a heavy traffic jam at the highway on September 21 as car drivers and motorcyclists stopped to have a glimpse of it.

The python crossed the road and hid under a car, as per a police official.

A team of snake catchers arrived at the spot and rescued the python.

It was handed over to the forest department and released into the wild in Thane district.

During the rescue operation, local policemen and their counterparts in the traffic branch also reached the spot and restored normal movement of vehicles.
