Motorcyclists are blown over by the strong winds from Typhoon Noul as it rips into Vietnam’s central coastline on Friday (September 18).

Shocked onlookers watched the driving rain and gusts topple over several bikers on a road, as they battled through the storm, in the city of Hue in Thua Thien Hue province on Friday.

The storm slammed into Vietnam's central coast today after strengthening as it crossed over the South China Sea.

It is expected to move west into Laos and northern Thailand, where severe rain and flooding have been predicted over the weekend.

The National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting in Vietnam warned of winds of up to 160 kilometres per hour.
