Hogan visits Caroline Co. students on their first day back to school

Governor Larry Hogan and State Schools Superintendent Dr. Karen Salmon traveled over to Caroline County on Tuesday to visit with students on their first day back to school for in-person classes.

.THINGS LOOK ALOT DIFFERENT THIS YEAR.HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OFSTUDENTS BOOTED UP THEIRLAPTOPS FOR THEIR FIRST DAY OFVIRTUAL LEARNING..

BUT SOMEWENT TO SCHOOL LIKE NORMAL.THIS MORNING GOVERNOR HOGANAND STATE SUPERINTENDENTDOCTOR KAREN SALMON VISITEDSEVERAL SCHOOLS IN CAROLINECOUNTY.

THEIR COUNTY IS TAKINGA HYBRID APPROACH TO SCHOOL...WELCOMING SOME STUDENTS BACKTO SCHOOL IN- PERSON.

HOGANSAYS HE WAS EXCITED TO SEESOME KIDS BACK IN SCHOOL.

HEALSO SAYS HE SAT IN ON SOMEZOOM CLASSES.

"They seem to bedoing well too.

A couple ofteachers said they had 100%participation.

The kids weresmiling and giving the thumbsup and using their reactionbuttons on Zoom to give thumbsup so they're learning quite abit.

I know its not quite thesame as being back in schoolsbut they're doing anincredible job trying to reachall of the kids eveyr way theycan in a safe way." THEGOVERNOR SAYS TWO THIRDS OFCOUNTIES AND SCHOOLS IN TSTATE HAVE A PLAN TO BRINGSOME KIDS BACK INTO THECLASSROOM.
