Still Adjusting to curfew restrictions

The back to school tab.

This morning, it's been more a month since the alabama alcoholic beverage control board banned the sale of alcohol at restaurants and bars after 11 p-m.

Waay31s sierra phillips is live in downtown huntsville with how the rule is impacting bar owners.

Bar owners tell us that not being able to sell alcohol after 11pm is making their business difficult, this morning they're working on solutions to stay afloat.

Mike groce, the manager of huntsville's lone goose saloon told waay31 things seemed to be looking up after they were able to open following the initial shutdown.

But after the new rule took effect at the beginning of august, it started hurting profits.

"those two and a half hours on friday and saturday night is the bulk of our business, so that's been a pretty drastic change.

It's something we're all dealing with on a week to week basis."

To adjust-- they're planning to add some live entertainment earlier in the day to attract more customers during those hours.

Groce said they're glad they didn't have to close completely again but there's still a lot of uncertainty as bars head into the slower part of the season.
