Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Kiren Rijiju on August 29 paid floral tribute to Major Dhyan Chand on his birth anniversary.
He paid tribute at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in Delhi.
"Today is an important day for all of us.
Today is the birth anniversary of hockey legend, Major Dhyan Chand," Rijiju told media persons.
Today, President Ram Nath Kovind will virtually confer the National Sports and Adventure Awards 2020 on the occasion of National Sports Day.
