Removed frocurrently there are 6 ballot drop boxes in jackson county... with a seventh on the way.

Newswatch 12's brett taylor joins us live in studio toclerke is only one new drop-off location planned for jackson county before the election.

That new drop box will be next to the jackson county library.

That will take jackson county to 7 drop boxes.

Each of these boxes are able to support at least 30-thousand people... giving jackson county enough drop boxes to support at least 210-thousand voters.

The jackson county clerk says she ádoes think the area could see an increase in drop box usaged compared to previous elections.

Right now we are about a 60-40 split so probably about 60 percent use the mail and 40 percent use the drop boxes.

But i believe that we will see a flip where we see 60 percent using the drop boxes and 40 percent using the postal service."

All seven drop boxes are located in medford, ashland, phoenix, rogue river eagle point, and central point.
