The police department has continued to stand by their actions.

Waay 31's ashley carter was at that protetst in june -- and joins us live from city hall just hours before the meeting is set to begin.

Ashley?

The huntsville police advisory council says they are still in the fact finding stage of their investigation.

This will be the second time they will let the public share their testimony on what happened that night.

Each speaker did have to pre- register on this website here to avoid overcrowding inside.

All slots have been filled.

The meeting will begin at 10 a-m and last until at 1 p-m.

Each speaker will have 5 minutes each to address the council.

The council also created a website to allow people to submit comments and upload cell phone videos and pictures from that night.

The public can watch the listening session on the city's website.

The council is still working to add an additional date in september
