Police disperse crowds as BLM and counter-protesters converge

Police officers dispersed crowds of left and right-wing protesters on Friday (August 21st) as they threatened to clash on the streets of Los Angeles.

According to an eyewitness, the scene turned "rowdy" when around 100 BLM supporters arrived on the same street as scores of counter-protesting Trump supporters.

Police placed themselves between the two groups to prevent clashes and used smoke bombs and possibly tear gas to disperse the crowds.

According to an eyewitness, several rocks were thrown at police.
