Official practices will begin on August 24th, with the 1st competitions scheduled the week of September 7th.

Control met online to take vote on the plan to move back the start date for high school football.

The august board meeting for the kentucky high school athletic association was held this morning to decide the fate of the fall sports season in the bluegrass state.

While board members could not agree unanimously, the decision that has been made echoes the same sentiments as the one in july.

The season will continue as scheduled.

Official practices will begin on monday..

As football teams will be putting on pads for the first time with competition only 18 days away.

Normally teams will be in pads well before their first game..

But the covid-19 pandemic has changed that.

Though the board was presented with other options to delay the start another two weeks..

Nothing was unanimous..

Therefore student athletes will be hitting the field monday.

Dalton i think that we are making the right decision to play as soon as we can and i'm excited for it.

Evans we have to get going eventually, and it's better to dip our toes in the water and see how it is instead of living in fear.
