We talk with Chelsea Howlett, Director of the Noyes Home for Children, about an upcoming fundraiser.

C1 take a seat is the annual benefit for children's home.

The 126-year old mission is funding for the quality service that is support children and families in crisis in missouri.

Welcome chelsea, executive director.

>> hi, thanks for having me.

>> tell us about the event and what we need to know to participate.

>> normally, it's our biggest event.

Because of covid, we had to do things differently this year.

It will be completely virtual.

We will be live streaming programs and having a live auction with that and the funding.

The auction was already kicked off as of monday 7:00 p.m.

And will close this coming sunday at 7:00 p.m.

>> great and so saturday august 22nd, this saturday, 7:00 p.m.

Is that live streaming program and you say it's estimated to be about 35 minutes long.

>> that's what we're shooting for.

We know everybody's time is precious and we want to be able to keep you captive and entertained for the short period of time.

We have george migrow for us this year.

We're so grateful he will join us and help us make sure we raise as much money as we can for the home.

He said this year has to be put and expenses have to be up.

I said yeah.

He asked what my big worry was and i said take a seat because we weren't sure if we would be able to have it.

>> he said how much do you need to raise i said $250,000.

It's about a quarter of the fundraising.

>> what if i throw up a match, i dollar for dollar, i will match up to $250,000.

We are hopeful our communities will support us and more people can join in the fun because we don't have the limit on space.

It will be airing live during our live streaming event on news press now.

So for those who don't have internet access, you can tune in there.

You're still able to bid and placing a bid for the live auction items as well as funding.
